Berger Flat Base Target Bullets are often used by competitve benchrest shooters who seek the highest accuracy possible. Flat Base Target Bullets are often used out to mid-range distances of 300 yards or more where a boat tail is not applicable. Berger Flat Base Target bullets are match-grade quality and utilize a tangent ogive bullet design which makes these very easy to load, tune and shoot. Highly accurate, the Flat Base Target uses J4 Precision bullet jackets for construction. J4 Precision Jackets have a Total Indicated Runout (TIR) of +/- .0001 and extremely tight manufacturing tolerances.

Walt Bergers legacy

For 30BR they are very consistent. Probably the best factory bullet you can buy, when they are available. Custom bullets have an edge, but not much. For factory bullets with J4 jackets they get a five. Great bullets at a great price: Graf’s.

Excellent 30 BR Competition Bullet

While my gun also likes the BIBs 118 gr, these Berger 115 gr bullets are a very close second and good enough that I am not afraid to use them in score shooting competition. These consistently shoot in the .2s and .3s out to 300 yards in a few different 30BRs that I use. I love the fact that they are almost always readily available from Grafs at a great price, and I always make sure I have at least one unopened box of 500 on my reloading shelf. When I open that box, I immediately order a new one from Grafs. I am always very happy with their prices and customer service.
