Berry's Preferred Plated bullets begin as a swaged lead core. The swaged lead cores are tumbled in an electrically charged bath containing high-grade copper ingots. The copper clings to the lead and the longer the bullets remain in the bath, the thicker the plating. The bullets are plated to the correct size and then taken out of the bath. Plated bullets are not as expensive as jacketed bullets. They are cleaner than lead but you'll want to stay away from magnum velocities when loading plated bullets. This is not loaded ammunition.

9x18 mak berry's bullets

Just what I expect from Berry's, inexpensive but good bullets for target practice and plinking. Buy 'em! Graf's delivers quick...

Makarov bullets

Usual Berry quality. My first batch of reloads functiined flawlessly. OAL is critical in this cartridge.

Excellent bullets

I have three pistols chambered for 9x18. All of them love these bullets. Absolutely no leading at 1000fps.

Unintended usage

I size these down to .361 for my old 38 S&W. No leading, great accuracy, good price, another good purchase from Grafs.

Quality & Affordable for Mak

Really happy with these for my Mak. Can't beat the price for plinking and poking holes in paper. I even like the cool plastic box!

Good Product

Originally bought this product to learn how to reload for the 9x18 Mak.
Turns out that my Cz82 likes this bullet and I came back for more rather than transitioning to the traditional FMJ.
Velocity must be kept moderate but pistol shoots to POA at 25 yards and is comfortable to shoot.
Win/Win in my book.

Good Product

I use this bullet as part of a decent quality, affordable practice round for volume practice with reloads. I otherwise use a hollow point like the XTP for my defense rounds and precision practice. For its purpose, the bullet is an excellent value with reasonably consistent weights.
