When you are first setting up a "naked" machine, there is plenty of wrench room, but if you have a need to adjust a die afterward, it often requires a delicate touch to maneuver a lock ring on a crowded toolhead.
Dillon Precision has addressed this by now offering new 1" die lock rings, these new lock rings fit any standard 7/8" x 14 dies.

Use a wrench that fits the lock rings or you'll round off the corners. Other than that they work great.

Needed accessory if using a Dillon Tool Head!

Dillon die lock nuts

On my Dillon XL750 tool head the dies are quite close together. The Dillon die lock nuts are smaller than other die lock nuts and make it much easier to tighten and loosen the dies on the tool head. I would definitely recommend them.

A Must have for Dillon Presses

These 1" die rings are an absolute must for the Dillon 550, and above, presses. Space is precious and with dies from practically anyone but Dillon, runs out in the crowed space available. The rings are A-1 as all Dillon products are.

These grip to the tool head whereas rings that come with other dies won't because they're designed differently. Once tightened I've never found them to be loose.

Die lock rings

The rings provide more working room to adjust dies on the Dillon toolhead. They are relatively cheap when compared to other manufacturers rings. The other brands of lock rings are too large when used on the Dillon toolhead and make it difficult to adjust the dies.
