The industry's leading varmint bullet with polymer tip and streamlined design results in flat trajectories. The concentricity of the match grade AMP® bullet jacket provides maximum accuracy at all ranges as well as explosive expansion, even at velocities as low as 1600 fps.

  • POLYMER TIP: The secret to the explosive terminal performance of the V-Max® is a hollow cavity resting between the tip's shaft and the body of the bullet. Upon impact, the hard shaft builds up speed and energy before driving into the core, causing the entire package to rapidly expand to the point of violent fragmentation, even at low terminal velocities.
  • HIGHER BALLISTIC COEFFICIENT: Hornady® combines the sharp, pointed polymer tip with the most aerodynamic profile for a high ballistic coefficient. The V-MAX® profile also provides the maximum bearing surface for added in-flight stability.

Great projectile for hunting or defense

I’m extremely happy with the 110V-Max bullet performance in my 300AAC Blackouts. I get 2400fps in the 16” and about 2275fps in the 10.5” sbr using H110 powder. This is a great alternative to the very expensive Barnes 110TAC projectiles. Highly recommend the V-Max.

Another great v-max bullet

This bullet is the most accurate one I have found for my 300blackout rig. I have not shot it beyond 100 yards in that rifle but at that range it consistently groups around 1moa off the bench using a vortex redot scope. A friend used my load for deer hunting this fall and he reported that it dropped a nice doe and a 10 point buck with no issues.

Great in the 30Br

These Hornady 110's are extremely accurate when pushed to 3000 fps out of a 30Br. I use them in Hunter Benchrest matches and they are hard to beat. With the custom specialty bullets almost impossible to get now, the Hornady 110 V-Max are the logical choice and Graf's has them at a great price with fast delivery.

Great varmint medicine...

Been stuffing these into 308 Win. and sending them from a 22" barreled turn'bolt, absolutely explosive on coyotes out to 300 yards. Copper fouling has been observed to be really quite slight when velocities are kept below 3100 fps at the muzzle. Really good stuff in 300 black-out as well.

I've used these in 30/30,30/06 and 308 with great success and will try them in my 300 Weatherby for the ultimate test, they have been the most accurate varmint bullet in every caliber from 22's up to 30's in all my guns, I would highly recommend them.

100 Grain VMAX

I loaded these with 1680 for personal defense loads and they shot very will in my 300 blackout pistol and my carbine. Accuracy was excellent and i would welcome hornady bringing back the zmax bullets as they were also great too.
