Hornady® lead pistol bullets are pre-lubricated and cold-swaged for total uniformity and balance. Our exclusive knurling system retains lubricant over the entire bearing surface to reduce leading in your barrel.

For cowboy shooters, authenticity is a strict requirement. That's why Hornady builds their Cowboy™ bullets to SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) specifications while holding them to the same stringent production standards as all their products.

  • CLASSIC & CONVENTIONAL DESIGN: Traditional conical and flat designs have perfect symmetry when combined with knurling at the base of the bullet, which deliver increased stability and accuracy. This ensures proper positioning in authentic revolvers, with no unwanted nicking of primers as the cylinder turns.
  • SPECIAL KNURLING AND GREASE RING: The knurling system holds an even distribution of lubricating wax over the bearing surface of the Cowboy™ bullet, resulting in less leading.

This is not loaded ammunition.

38 Special

I use these for warm loads in 38 special. The old FBI load. Great bullet.

Hornady 38c (.358) 158 gr. LSWC-HP

While this bullet is fine for target shooting, which I have done, I purchased it to make a maximum safe velocity .38 Spl. defensive round. For this, major bullet manuals should be consulted along with the analysis and experience well-respected handloading experts.

Great accuracy, minimal leading

My old 5" S&W M10 loves this bullet. Target-grade accuracy and only light leading, with no greasy lube.

Very consistent

I was looking for some 158WCHP and these were all I could find, found the price to be fair and they all have been very consistent. They are quite accurate in my .38. These leave little to no leading even with some stout loads and load very easy with minimal case neck expansion. I will need to purchase more, Thank you Graf and Sons.

HORNADY (.358) 158gr SWCHP Bullet

These were exactly what I needed to get the best possible performance from a 38 Special +P.

My Ruger SP101 eats these and spits them out like it's nobody's business. I'm still playing with different powders and primers to find the best combination for my baby, but the bullets are a keeper.

Hornaday .38 SWCHP

Very accurate in .38 Special and I use the same bullet for .38 S&W loads for my Webley.

Great 38 Special

Great bullet for 38 Special. Have shot a couple of thousand of these in 2" - 4" barrels with no leading problems.

158 gr .35 HP Swaged Lead bullets

I use these in my .38 SPL snubnose as the softer lead expands at lower velocities. I love them for self defense loads for shorter barreled revolvers. I do not load them for use in .357 Magnum loads as they may lead the barrel.

Target Bullet

These are more accurate than my usual cast bullets in .38Spl or .357Mag cases. Lube is less smoky too.

Good expansion at .38 velocities

I like having an affordable and accurate option for loading 38's. These are outstanding component bullets and actually expand as intended.
