These work as advertised with no ill effects as long as you do a good reloading job. x grs. of Red Dot gives a snappy load with effective range 15'-20'. I have used these for years--Good product!!

I have actually used these for many years. I load with both #5 shot and #7-1/2 shot as the heavier shot give just a bit more distance yet the smaller shot hits allows a denser pattern. These when loaded work wonderful to take out a sneaky snake. I ran out of these last year and their hasn't been any available for quite a while. The new ones are as good or better than the older ones. I've loaded a lot of these. The pattern are good at short distances. I am glad to have more of these.

I bought two boxes of these and each box had 23 capsules. One of the boxes had a broken capsule so out of two boxes, I have 45 capsules. Speer needs better quality control.

What can I say, but They Work As Described. Just make sure that you do not over crimp them as they will crack with excessive crimping.

Used #8s for a payload and the listed Unique load (they include load data for spl and mag cases with 8 or so powders). Dense enough pattern for snakes to about 12 ft. 20 ft was too thin with #8s and my 5.5” bbl (snubbies pattern tighter with these.) Compared to the .357 capsules, these are slightly more fragile, a heavy roll crimp will crack them, but I shot a cylinder of medium power 44mag loads with one of these loaded in the cylinder that was lightly roll crimped and had no problems.

These capsules do exactly what they are designed to do. +/-128 grains (don't overfill) of #8 shot over a moderate load of WW231, firmly seated and lightly crimped in a 44 Remington magnum case penetrate both sides of a steel can or at least one side of the varmint of you choice at 15 feet. Eye protection is recommended if fired near hard surfaces. 5 stars for an easy handgun shot load.

This plastic unit is a great solution for as it said for, ( A very light load Snake Round ).
While this is one answer. It has it a projectile load and powder Limit that I consider Weak to be nice.
I load a reproduction "1858" Black Powder Revolver. When loading the cylinders a hard disk of pressed Card Board inside each cylinder atop the Black Powder Load. This is to prevent multi discharge from a stray spark while firing.
Now I Do Not Recommend using these disks over Powder Loads in 44 MAG Cases as a cheap way around this product- But I do For my snake load of 70 grains of #7shot with a small Powder charge. Be Careful.
