ACME BULLET CASTING LEAD ALLOY 18LB/BOX

I have been using casting mystery alloy for years. Most works just fine.
This works very well right out of the nifty little crate it is delivered in. Bullets fill out properly, drop readily, it is very obviously an excellent mix. I tried mixing 50-50 with some of my on-hand stock, and it improved that as well.
The batch I have comes in two 9 pound ingots. They just fit end down into my lead pot.

Highly recommended. Will certainly buy more.

I have been casting bullets for 40 plus years and have always used old wheel weights. I recently ran out of my supply of wheel weights and found the Acme lead and decided to give it a try. It is a very clean metal and fluxes well with very little dross. Bullets cast well after the mold comes up to temperature with fully filled bases and grease grooves. It's nice not having to keep fluxing as with wheel weight and fishing out the clips and all the road grim. Casting is a lot more convenient using this metal and the wooden box that it comes packed in is nice as a bullet storage box.
