This was the bullet that started it all. Produced by pressure-forming pure copper tubing around a pure lead core, this highly reliable bullet was the first custom bullet available to American handloaders. Introduced in 1939, it was long the favorite of professional hunters who demanded performance they could depend on, each and every time. Barnes .30 caliber 190 grain Original bullet

I use these bullets in reduced loads for my .30/06 Springfield. They hit hard and penetrate deeply on medium and large game at short and medium range. They'd be just as good in the .30-30 and the .308, or other .30 caliber cartridges.

I'm very impressed with the quality of this bullet! Weight and length show a high degree of consistency. Using it in a model F Savage 99 manufactured in 1929 and chambered for the 124 yr. old Sav 303, this projectile is yielding 0.5", 4 shot groups at 50 yds. Did it 3 times in a row this past Tuesday. When something is working, I WON'T CHANGE.
