Berry's Preferred Plated bullets begin as a swaged lead core. The swaged lead cores are tumbled in an electrically charged bath containing high-grade copper ingots. The copper clings to the lead and the longer the bullets remain in the bath, the thicker the plating. The bullets are plated to the correct size and then taken out of the bath. Plated bullets are not as expensive as jacketed bullets. They are cleaner than lead but you'll want to stay away from magnum velocities when loading plated bullets. This is not loaded ammunition.

Bullets did their job

I was impressed with the fast shipping. They were out within a couple of hours after order was placed.
I loaded 50 that same day, walked up to the canyons and fired about half. 44 mag, 8.5 inch barrel. They were on target at 25 yards. Did the job as advertised. I use Berry bullets for almost all my practice rounds.

Great plinking bullet

Only reason why 4 stars is Berry's velocity rating jumped ~400 f/s. What did they do? Otherwise I really like this for 44 special because it's a solid product for quick reloads for a relatively low price. In magnums, I prefer to cast my own... much more accurate.

Berry 44

Berry bullets are perfect for target shooting. I will never shoot lead or coated bullets again. Load with a lead bullet load and have fun plinking all day. These bullets let you shoot a 44 Magnum without blowing your wrists apart. Will buy again.

Dirty Harry would be pleased!

I've been using these Berry's bullets in a S&W 29 long barrel for range-plinking fun. I've found them to be very accurate when loaded at high 1100's to just 1200 FPS with a mild little kiss from a roll-crimp die. Recommended!
