To improve ballistic performances with most available powders, Cheddite has developed its dependable and powerful Clerinox primer (US type). The regularity of Cheddite primers provide a reliable powder ignition at optimum sensitivity will allow your cartridges to perform to your expectations. This regularity is obtained thanks to a strict quality control of all components : anvil, chamber, cap, mixture and to a continuous performance checking of the primer itself as well as when combined with a specific reference cartridge loading.
The non-corrosive explosive mixture does not contain mercuric compounds. The word, "Clerinox" is a trademark coming from the contraction of the words Clerieux (place in France where the primer paint originates) and "inox" which comes from the meaning, inoxadable=waterproof/stainless (and by extension, non-corroding).

Just as good as W209 and equal strength

Cheddite makes a darn good 209 primer, and some pretty decent straight walled hulls. I’ve never had any issues with Cheddite 209 primers and the fact they’re lacquer coated is a plus, one less thing to worry about. I’ve found that these Cheddite 209s are nearly equal in strength with Winchester 209s and are load interchangeable. These have pretty much what’s been on shelves since the whole “CONTROLLA” Virus “PLANDEMIC” and the election emptied the shelves with panic buying, aside some federals and others showing up here and there. I’ve got no issues with buying these whenever I need 209 primers again, they seem to fit better in fired hulls and European hulls, due their a smidge larger in diameter, like .0005” or so over Winchester 209, which I believe are .2415”, Cheddite being .242”.

Love cheddites!

Have never had an issue with a FTF, pierced primer, or any other problem with Cheddites. Since COVID these are all I can find, I used to use Winchester 209s. But will not be switching back as Cheddites are cheaper and work great!
