CLAYBUSTER WAD 12ga 1-1/8 (12C1) 500/BAG

Fit was nice and consistent only thing I would say is they should write on the bag for people new to reloading shot shells that these should not be used for steel shot

Be warned, the shot cup fingers on this wad are ribbed! Do not buy if you're loading slugs. I had originally wanted Federal 12S3, but the web was full of warnings to avoid the Claybuster 2118 substitute since it was ribbed. So instead I went with the Claybuster 3118 (replacement for Federal 12C1) since the picture clearly showed it was not ribbed! What a surprise when I opened the bag. I'm wondering if Grafs and probably also Claybuster are using images from the old Federal wads and just putting their name across the top. Hopefully this post can save someone else a little aggravation.

Worked perfectly as replacement of the old 12C1 wad in both "old" Federal plastic and paper hulls. The wad column is the correct height for a good crimp.

Excellent was for straight wall hulls.
