Cleans firearms to a level that is actually better then the firearm’s original, pre-fired condition. Hoppe’s Elite Gun Cleaner activates the surface of the gun metal, not just getting the surface cleaner, but also allowing oils and lubricants to penetrate at the molecular level for superior lubrication of moving parts.

Hoppes Elite Bore Cleaner

I have always been a solvent user, but this is better and a lot easier to clean up.

Hoppes Elite Bore Cleaner review

Cast bullets require a copper free bore to shoot accurately.
Just used Hoppes Elite and Wipe Out Cleaner to remove all the fowling and copper from a 1903 Krag.
The only other option would have been to use an abrasive cleaner. Anyway Elite is the best cleaner to remove powder fowling I've found so far.
