The ELD-X® (Extremely Low Drag - eXpanding) bullet is a technologically advanced, match accurate, ALL-RANGE hunting bullet featuring highest-in-class ballistic coefficients and consistent, controlled expansion at ALL practical hunting distances.

  • BEST-IN-CLASS BCS: Verified by Doppler radar, the Heat Shield® tip is immune to the effects of aerodynamic heating and retains its shape to maintain the highest-in-class BC over its entire trajectory.
  • MATCH ACCURATE HUNTING BULLET: Streamlined secant ogive with optimum boattail design + highly concentric AMP® bullet jackets + Heat Shield® tip combine for radically superior aerodynamic efficiency.
  • DEVASTATING CONVENTIONAL RANGE PERFORMANCE: With high velocity 0-400 yard impact, the bullet continually expands throughout its penetration path. The thick shank of the jacket and high InterLock® ring keep the core and jacket together providing 50-60% weight retention.
  • BEST EXTENDED RANGE TERMINAL PERFORMANCE AVAILABLE: Upon low-velocity 400+ yard impacts, the Heat Shield® tip drives backward into the bullet to initiate expansion. Exhibiting conventional expansion with a large mushroom and 85-90% retained weight the bullet provides deep penetration and large wound cavities.

257 Weatherby loves the ELD-X 110gr

These bullets leave my Weatherby like laser beams at nearly 3,440 fps with my handholds and are equally as accurate as the match version, with me shooting. I have used them on steel, prairie dog sized silhouette targets at 400 meters (437 yards) and they dominate when compared to other similar weight bullets of other brands.

250 savage

The 110 gr Hornady bullets have been an outstanding addition to my 250 Savage rifle. I'm not talking about my Savage 99 rifle but my bolt action 250 Savage. I tested Berger, Sierra and Hornady bullets. The Hornady give the best accuracy. One hundred yards, five shots 0.77 inch. I'm some what pasted 70 years old and really don't look for better than that.

jury is out

These did not work in my Ruger Hawkeye 25-05. It turns out this gun's barrel with only stabilize shorter (lighter) bullets. These 110 ELD Xs are a bit too long. These should work in my 257 Roberts but I haven't tried them for this gun yet so can't comment on how that gun shoots these.
