The InterLock design features a raised ring inside the jacket that is embedded in the bullet’s core that keeps the core and jacket locked together during expansion to retain mass and energy.

I finally got my first 1895 Winchester rifle in .405 just as the Pandemic hit. All I had were these Hornady cartridges. So they are what I cut my teeth on in this caliber, but they have not been available. So now I can have them again, but even better since I can load them myself.

Great bullet for the .405 Winchester

This bullet is very effective on game out of the .405 Winchester. While the same bullet in the flat point is even better, that hasn't been available for awhile. The bullet does seat nicely on the cannelure and it feeds well in my 1895 Winchester and is reasonably accurate. Certainly a good hammer for elk and deer.

I have a Ruger No1 in 405 Winchester and this is my favorite bullet for it. It's been unavailable for a long time, so I was sure glad when Graf and Sons notified me that they had them in stock. So I ordered a box of these bullets immediately, and they arrived here in a couple days. I opened the box to inspect the bullets and was quite impressed with the uniformity. Especially the meplats as they are more uniform to each other than they have been in the past. Thanks Graf and Sons!

Perfect Performance

In my single shot TC Encore, I have a load with Hodgdon Benchmark shooting a ragged hole, 5 shot group at 75yds. This is the max range for my hunting area. Velocity is 2350fps and expansion tests result in 70% retention and near ideal mushroom. Glad I was able to grab a couple more boxes. These are my #1 choice in my 405Win. Really appreciate Grafs quick-draw notification when items come back in-stock and their packaging department deserves huge praise; exceptional on every order!
