HORNADY 9x18 MAK SER II FL 3- DIE SET TITANIUM

Let me start by saying that Graf & Sons did a fine job of getting a factory sealed set of reloading dies shipped and into my hands.

Please note the fact to that a factory sealed box of 9x18 dies contained a .38/.357 Expander Die which is not a fit in any way to
the slightly larger 9mm Makarov bullet diameter and much shorter case. Due to the way Hornady Expander dies are made the fixed expander element is way to far up in the die to even touch the neck of the Makerov brass.

The fault is not Graf & Sons but rather the inspector at the Hornaday factory. I have ordered a 9 x18 expander die from another firm as Graf & Sons do not list the item. The .38/.357 expander will be used on .38 Special brass.

Again this is not a Graf & Sons fault and I have ordered from them after this event with no problems. I just wish the special order from Hornady for the proper expander was quicker.
