Good Quality

Not the most accurate but good quality ammo. Bought it mostly for the brass to reload it with my own accurate and more potent recipe for my bolt action as all factory ammo in 6mm ARC are meant for AR platform and are under powered for bolt action rifles.

Hornady 6mm ARC 105 grain Black Ammunition

I have been constantly getting sub-half MOA groups out to 300 yards with my custom built AR. This is excellent ammunition.

Hornady 6mm ARC 105 grain, Disappointing!

Shot 4, 5 shot 2 inch groups at 100 yards, no wind. The groups were all 3 to four tight with flyers. The rifle is a new AR with a 18" medium weight Ballistics Advantage Barrel, Geissele Trigger and 4-16 Vortex Diamond Back Tactical scope. To be fair It is a new rifle with no track record.
What disappointed me was my examination of the Hornady Black ammo. Overall length was spot on but concentrically of 20 rounds varied from total runout of .003" to a maximum runout of .009" with a average of .0061". Fired cases showed no sign of being chamfered before bullet seating. A pulled bullet showed longitudinal scaring from seating and a gouge from the case mouth crimp. I did not weigh loaded rounds or fired cased.
All in all the 105 grain HRN81604 is average run of the mill ammo showing signs of rushed production. Not march grade!

Picked up a few boxes of these and went to the range. I was only able to shoot out to 100y. My Howa mini shoots these well under MOA. Graf&Sons had a great deal on these and as always, communication was consistent from the time my order was placed through the whole shipping process. Thanks for your great service.
