I bought these because they were cheap. I found them unbelievably inaccurate.

Disappointed

With a new rifle, I shot some retail rounds and had really good results. Switched to my reloaded rounds with these bullets for the first time. My groupings opened up and there were two keyholes that were widly off as well. Wish I had not bought so many of these boxes. They will probably get religated to backup/last choice use. I did shoot 100 rounds and maybe the barrel got too hot. I'll dial it back and see if I get better results shooting 50. Should not have to do this...

Great bullets been using them for years, accurate, and cost effective. What more could you ask for.

Impressive affordable projectiles

Incredible, accurate bullets, since i first purchased
Lightning bullets from Graf and Son's years ago
I've been a regular customer of Graf and Lightning
Products. Excellent customer service and merchandise.

Keyholes as close as 15yards.

Bought because of the price, but got burned…. 3-5 rounds per 20 keyhole in the target. The ones that don’t keyhole, still offer horrible accuracy (3-6” @ 50rds). I first thought my barrel was shot out, but after firing these in multiple rifles, different powders, different brass, got the same results.

Excellent value

Quality bullets that seat and shoot well. No complaints here. They are solid performers. Highly recommend.

Lightning .224 55 gr. FMJBT w/c bullet

I gave this 4 stars since I have yet to shoot it.
The bullets are clean and shiny. With their boat tail design the case necks do not have to be expanded - the tail goes right into the case mouth the the following larger body expands the neck as needed. With a sample of 10 bullets, I made the following measurements:
width: all measured .224 immediately below the cannalure.
length: 4 measured .744, 3 - .7445, and 3 - .7455.
weight: 4 weighed 55 grains, 1 - 55.1, 3 - 54.9, 2 - 54.8.
Avg. weight among the 10 bullets: 54.94. This seems very good.
Lastly, the price was "right," lower than I'd seen for any comparable bullet. Thanks Grafs.

Great buy!

Just loaded 400 for plinking, targets, & steel. They are consistent, smooth loading. I have not checked accuracy yet.

Great value

Got these for practice.
They load easily, and are great for ringing steel and punching targets.
Accuracy is very good as well!

Great for plinking

Got in a box of these for plinking, better value than the same type from another vendor, great for target practice, loaded easily. Happy with the bullets, will buy more when needed.

Great buy.

Back in 2020 I bought 1500 of these (in 100 rd tins). They were very uniform then and performed well at the range. The fact I bought another 1000 says all I have to say.

Always a quality product

Use these for a number of years in 222 Remington, 223 Remington and 22-250 Remington with 3 different IMR powders , sub MOA in bolt guns and 2.5 to 3 inches in AR platform at 400 yards. Weights and dimensions are not perfect , but perform nothing the less in great fashion , no visible flaws , weight very consistent , well made for the price point , very pleased with them now and in the past.

Look good

Haven’t had a chance to shoot any yet but loaded a few & they seem to work fine. I’m not going for super accuracy to blow through my AR so I’m not concerned about the bad reviews. I was happy to find a good deal.

Lightning 55 gr bullets

A waste of copper and lead. Three feet and more off target center at 100 yds in two AR’s. Purchased from another supplier. Penetrated my target paster bag on ground. Never saw such gross inaccuracy in 25+ years. Returned unused bullets to supplier. Your service and quality are superior but these bullets are “ the pits”.( if they get that far).

good bullet at a fair price

Works really well and consistent..With the flat rate shipping they are cheaper than what is available locally

First Thousand was great but then a baffle strike

I shot a thousand of these and they are accurate, however i had a baffle strike that has proven to be rather expensive. I wont be shooting these in a suppressed rifle anymore, but still use them for unsuppressed rifles.

Lightning 22c 55 Gr FMJBT W/C 500/Bx

Bought these on a whim due to the short supply thinking "These will do for the range" and the price was too good to pass up. When received, they looked just as good and well finished as the ones I have used from Hornady (much better looking than the picture on the Graf page). Loaded up several and they shot groups as well as any from my AR.
Next time they are available, I will get a bunch more.

LIGHTNING 22c (.224) 55gr FMJBT BULLET w/CAN 500/bx

Once again Graf and Sons has offered a fine economical bullet that meets the shooters expectations. This bullet has been economical to buy, easy to load, and accurate. Thank you Graf and Sons again!

Lightning bullets

The bullets look nice and are similar in all respects to the brand name bullets that I normally use. Using the same loading as the Hornady 55g psp boat tail I normally use, the groups average 1.31". No complaints and I would buy them again.

Lightning 22Cal 55gr FMJ

Bought these hoping they would be ok. I did a complete layout out on a couple dozen. Everything wasn't just in compliance, they all held less than .0003" in total variation with OD's and OAL. All weighed within .01 grains too. They loaded well and shot in tight groups. I would buy these again without any further hesitation. Thank you Lightning Ammo. You present a fine product.
