Lightning Cast 45 Caliber (.458 Diameter) Bullets 405 grain Round Nose Flat Point Box of 100

I haven't had a chance to load or shoot these bullets yet but they look like top quality. Grafs & Sons ship Fast.

I've started shooting these in my TC Encore, keeping velocities less than 1500 to start. They shoot great, very accurate. I've used IMR4227 but plan to try other powders. I only have 50 yards to shoot at but so far they are almost all touching and leading is minimal.

Use for 1885 Hi Wall.

Weighed these and I got weights from 396 grains to 406 grains. I used only the 403-grain bullets and got a 2" 7-shot group at 100 yards using xx.x grains of Trail Boss. Rifle: 1874 45-70 Sharps. My eighth shot was an uncalled flyer enlarging the group to 4".

Second time buying this brand and bullet. Well-made and I prefer these over the 500 gr as the kick is a little less. Use them in my Springfield 45/70 rifle and carbine.
Called the company direct, Lightning, when I first considered them and they were very helpful and supportive. Bought them through Grafs for the best price.
