For nearly 140 years, the Union Metallic Cartridge Company name has been synonymous with some of the finest ammunition made in the United States. Since its beginning in 1867, UMC has blazed a trail of innovation in cartridge-making excellence that continues to this day.

At Remington's UMC division, we make only first-quality product, in a limited line of popular specifications, so they can bring you the benefit of manufacturing efficiencies that keep costs low. The rifle and handgun ammunition we make today is the product of 140 years of design innovation and manufacturing excellence. UMC centerfire handgun and rifle ammunition features fully reloadable, boxer primed cases.

This is loaded ammunition.

Remington 115gr UMC 9mm Luger Ammo

Bought 2 boxes of 50 of UMC 9mm Luger 115gr FMJRN (same lot #), and experienced a fairly frequent periodic failure to eject from a reliable CZ 75. I changed magazines, and experienced the same problem. I changed to a Sig P226, and had the same random failure to eject problem. Neither of the aforementioned pistols have ever given me this problem with 115gr or 124gr factory ammo or hand loads. Changed ammo to Winchester 115gr FMJRN 9mm Luger, and both pistols performed flawlessly. I don't know if Remington had a bad day on the production line, or if they are rushing production at the expense of quality control to get things out the door, but I do not recommend the Remington UMC 9mm Luger ammo.
