The 150 grain #2130 has the Sierra's unique double-tapered hunting jacket that has been field proven under all conceivable conditions. The 150 grain #2130 bullet is best suited to medium game. This bullet is extremely accurate, providing an undeniable edge in the game fields. Reliable expansion and deep penetration blended with Sierra's classic Spitzer flatbase profile makes these the bullets of choice with many 30 caliber riflemen.

For handguns, Sierra's Pro-Hunter design is generally considered too "hard" for all but the most powerful of the 30 caliber handgun cartridges. Handguns chambered for the 308 Winchester cartridge or cartridges of similar size can use these bullets over maximum hunting loads at short range. Due to their flat base design, Pro-Hunter bullets are an excellent choice for a cartridge with limited powder capacity and a short neck, because these bullets intrude into the powder space less than a boat tail.

These are my "go-to" bullets for most anything in 30 caliber. Other bullet makes or styles sometimes work almost as well but if I'm trying to work up a load for a new to me 30 caliber rifle, I'll usually start with this bullet.

I have looked everywhere trying to find this bullet. I finally located it at Graf's. I have always had good results with Sierra ProHunter bullets even though they are not the latest design and Marketing hyped bullet. It's a quality bullet at a reasonable price.

A reliable and dependable bullet

Over the years, we have tried many different 150 grain, 30 caliber bullets.It seems as though the progression of shapes and styles, jacket thickness and dedsign, and base configuration is touted by each manufacturer as the best since sliced bread. Despite our wanderings in the forrest of possible projectiles, we inevitably come back to the Sierra 150 gr ProHunter. Quite honestly, on our deer, this bullet delivers with less blood shot meat and dependable, quick kills. If we do our job and place the bullet well, the deer is down. And I am telling you we also use ProHunter in all our other calibers too. Now for hogs, we have lost too many using ineffective bullets that quite simply will not penetrate a pigs thick skin. In contrast, we have never lost a hog with the pro hunter bullets. Period. So in the end, the 150 grain Pro Hunter will never diappoint. It remains our go-to bullet.

Accurate bullet

Was trying to find a cheaper bullet to shoot paper with and gave this a try. Loaded XX grains of N135 and shot a 3 shot group of .475 at 150 yards. Next time out I’ll try this at 200 yards. Looks like this will be my go to bullet for some shooting fun. Thanks G&S for a good price and cheap shipping.
